Pre-Surgery Instructions

Please Read Our Pre-Surgery Inctructions

  • Using a proper scalp shampoo can help get one rid of the dandruff of the hair. That must be the first priority.
  • It is advisable not to apply oil before the transplantation, as it will save time on both the patient and the surgeon’s part. Additionally, after shampooing it is best to wear a cap to restrict the entry of dust and dirt in the hair.
  • One should keep oneself aloof from having alcohol or smoking, at least two days before the procedure. The nicotine and the alcohol have a great adverse effect on the success of the transplantation, the transplantation results and also the healing time.
  • A good night’s sleep is a must before the day of the operation. If one is suffering from any medical problems that hinder in the normal sleep pattern, then that should be freely discussed with our concerned physician, too. Spicy food, junk food and fried food should be avoided completely.
  • As anesthesia is given to numb the concerned area of the head where hair transplantation is to be done, it is better to avoid expensive jewelry at the time of the operation.
  • If grey hair is present on the scalp of the candidate, then it is best to get it dyed before the operation, or we shall do that on your behalf.
  • It is advisable to shave off the recipient area prior to hair transplantation on the part of the patient, or we shall do that on your behalf.
  • The scalp skin should be given proper exercise as advised by our highly experienced and certified physicians.
